Children’s Room is a small annex to a modern house in the southern part of Mexico City. Conceived as a formal and functional juxtaposition to the main building, the extension creates an ideal environment for children to stimulate their senses, increase their physical activity, and shape their developing identities away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
The exterior is a continuous surface, which enfolds itself and makes a ramp to allow the children to move intuitively inside the building and out to the surrounding garden. The interior is as organic as the exterior, flowing and curving to provide a sense of comfort, security and enclosure.
